Pamela Brown of the Venice Lions Club Foundation Inc. presented to Alicia Williams, Youth Program Director, and Peter M. Casamento, Executive Director, a check in the amount of $500.00 to help support Kid’s Cafe.

Laurel Civic's Kids Cafe provides a hot nutritious meal to all our children in a safe environment when they arrive after school. Hungry children often cannot focus, making it difficult to concentrate on homework and reading assignments. The meals we provide also ensure that no child goes home hungry, which is essential because some of the youth, might not receive a meal when they return home in the evening. We recognize that food security plays a vital role in the development of a child's well-being, both physically and mentally, and our program addresses this need.
